Calgary Chill Zone in the McLean & Partners tent will be a haven

the Athletes, Officials and Volunteers.
Only accredited athletes, volunteers & officials will be allowed

which is a Snack Bar & Soft Drinks, the Stretch zone with floor
mats,
a De-Stress Zone with Prairie Therapy Massage, lots of seating for
chilling.

Preliminary
Information Released on 2012 Canadian Water Ski and Barefoot Championships
- It’s
gonna be big, exciting, and filled with lots of skiing and
footing! An innovative event is being planned by Calgary’s
Predator Bay Water Ski Club, August 12-17, 2012. The two
purpose-built Kastyn Stone ski lakes will see three events
in one: water ski nationals, barefoot nationals, and a corporate
‘prize $$’ event. Here is a sampling of what’s
in store:
- Water
ski nationals will be a complete 2 round event, results
determined on the basis of the skier’s best score of
either round;
- Both
lakes will be used concurrently;

The Ski Nautique 200 will be the exclusive towboat for water
ski nationals;
- Barefoot
boats to be announced at a later date;
-
Up to 28 hours of practice will be available on the two
lakes on Sunday, August 12
- Additional
practice hours will be available during the week;
-
The water ski event will run from Monday to Thursday, August
13 to 16.

Barefoot nationals will also be two rounds, and will use
both lakes;
-
Barefoot competition will be held on Wednesday and Thursday,
August 15 & 16;

The water ski Open Event will be showcased on late Thursday
afternoon and evening;

The closing banquet will be held on Thursday evening, on-site
lakeside such that banquet guests will be able to watch
the Open event;
On
Friday, August 17
Predator
Bay will host a prize $$ event designed for corporate hospitality
and entertainment to a large number of spectators. This will
be an event not to be missed! Stay tuned for more details
in the coming weeks!!
